Yes: the check costs nothing and needs no account, and taking it commits you to nothing.
The check is a short assessment of about 15 questions, which takes roughly seven minutes. It gives you a first picture of where you stand: which part of the exam looks weakest, from a small sample. It is an estimate, not a prediction of your result.
The check is not the only free part. With a free account, and without paying, you can also read one chapter of the exam's book and sit one full mock exam per exam, in the exam's own format. Some exams also open one unit of lessons for free. Your free mock exam counts as soon as you start it, even if you do not finish it.
The rest of the book comes with buying the exam. Lessons, practice, your plan and further mock exams come with Premium, and every exam you buy includes a period of it.
The check and the rest of the preparation are in the Licento app for iPhone. You take the check before you make an account; to keep its result, and for every other free part, you make a free one with your e-mail address. Not every exam has a check yet.
